Berkley Shooting Leaves Questions, Shocked Residents

Few details are known about a shooting that took place in Berkley, MA on Tuesday afternoon. While a victim was indeed shot in Berkley, police didn't find blood or bullet casings at the scene of the shooting, and stories from witnesses are different in some ways.

While police work to gather more details about the incident, ABC 6 News Reporter Jeremy Tung has the latest from Berkley.

I believe my neighborhood's safety is, in fact, in danger because there are all of these damn kids around that think they're thugs. They play this part and try to be hard and just end up bringing guns and drugs and violence into a quiet neighborhood. All I have to say to that is they need to pull their pants up and get it together--they're not gangsta. They're kids from rural Berkley who's mommy and daddy support them. I grew up in this neighborhood around these very kids. I know the deal.

There is no need for anyone in berkley to fret about this situation. This was not an intended act nor was it an enemy of the victim. The victim is fine now and will be fine. All evidence was found. The story was jumbled by numerous things. Do not pass judgement, this WAS in fact an accident. Your safety is not at hand in this case

I live right down the street from this and I am absolutely disgusted in the people who did this and brought this kind of activity to my neightborhood. This happened while my 10-year-old little brother was riding his bike around the area, not even a quarter-mile away. There is something especially sketchy about this situation, and it needs to be solved. It most definetly cannot be another case that our less than stellar legal system lets go.
