WASHINGTON (AP) - Rep. Patrick Kennedy is calling Republican
Scott Brown's candidacy a "joke," and says he expects the new
Massachusetts senator will vote against the interests of union
members who supported his campaign.
The Hill's Blog Briefing Room reports the Rhode Island Democrat
made the comments Thursday when Brown was sworn in for the seat held by Kennedy's late father, Edward Kennedy.
A Kennedy spokeswoman declined comment Friday.
A spokesman for Brown said Friday he "won't be sidetracked by
negative partisan attacks."
Brown was sworn in a week earlier than he had planned. He
immediately faced questions whether he will vote with the GOP in
the partisan fight over President Barack Obama's choice of union
attorney Craig Becker for a top labor job. A vote could come Monday.
Brown said Thursday he was undecided on the vote.

Patrick is showing his " green eyed sour grapes" attitude again. For a man who's family bought his election here in RI , never held a 9 to 5 job, living paycheck to paycheck, he should be grateful we have a free electorate.Perhaps he should see it as a warning as should Sheldon Whitehouse His arrogance is unsurpassed.I shall remember your insults come the next senatorial election and vote my response .

Maybe Patrick thought that Mary Jo Kopechne would have been a more suitable successor to his drunken, spineless, responsibility dodging murderer of a father...I HATE it when THAT happens!

Please someone shut him up. He sounds like he's campaigning against someone a) from another state and b) who's already won the seat. I'm from RI, born and raised here. The only reason Patrick is here is because he couldn't have won in his home state, even when his father was alive to support him. Nobody realy listens to him, they vote party lines. Everybody should realy listen to your candidates. These people represent YOU. you're only as dumb as the person you put into office. Look at the people who vote for Frank. He was on the oversite commitee for Freddie-Mac and Fannie-Mae, the ones who started the "below prime" mortgage bidding that led to all the mortgage woes we have now. He wasn,t alone, but he's got everyone thinking it's Bush's fault. Check the records. It's all there.

patrick Kennedy is the only Rep. who can get stuff done for RI. I dont care about his personal life, as long as he is an effective legislator for RI. Kennedys' problems are nothing compared to the GOP. cadidates and incumbants who are looking for homosexual tricks in a urinal, and cheating on their wives. The GOP. is all done, and people have to face it. GO KENNEDY!!!

Patches is the joke. Their stiff, Kirk, should have stepped aside after the election. The Kennedy's and Mass Democrats dragged out the process, Ted was there in one day after his election, Niki Tsongas was there in two days.
