Palin Internet Video Searches Skyrocket After McCain VP Announcement

John Eagan

Following Friday's announcement by the McCain camp, the first place many people went to find out more about Governor Sarah Palin of Alaska, was straight to the Internet.

A lot of political junkies really didn't know a whole heck of a lot about Governor Palin, even though her name had been floated around as a possible vice presidential candidate.

But there was no need to fear, because within virtually minutes, everything you had ever wanted to know about her was posted online on sites like YouYube.

ABC 6 reporter Jeremy Tung has the story...

In the meantime, watch some of the full length videos below:

I'm sorry but after researching Palin online I change my mind on voting for McCain. Palins views on womans rights are dismal-she wants rape victems to pay for their rape-kits up front, her views on the enviorment are worse! She sued the federal govement for putting polar Bears on the endangered species list! Her answer for the oil crisis is to drill EVERYWHERE! Not to mention shes Pro war. I mean come on now, she does not bring "Freshness" to the race, she's a threat to the american people!

I am voting for McCain. His move was brilliant. By nominating her he is bringing some new freshness to the race. Talk about a change. They compliment each other in there strength and weaknesses. I've been hoping he would pick her for MONTHS! Obama is more of the same. Promise them every thing. McCain will bring the REAL change. Obama was part of the machine politics in Chicago so how is that change?

You LibDems may THINK he only selected her "because she's a woman," but McCain and Co are NOT that stupid. She was chosen because she's a reformer, and an outsider. McCain can now take Obama and Biden TO TASK on so much it will make your head spin. Those who think this is a token pick are going to be the fools as the days unfold to the election.

I am an independent, but I do like Obama. What I think of McCain’s pick, well he thinks the female voters are stupid, he is banking on the 18 mil people who wanted to vote for Hilary because she is a woman. He just wanted to win no matter what, who cares about experience and knowledge she is a woman. That’s what McCain is thinking. While Obama does not have as much experience as McCain, he picked someone to complement his knowledge. Just think of it, someone with no experience can be the preside

Let's see...if Hillary would have been on the Obama ticket that would be great, a real shoe in, because....? But since McCain picked a woman it is a lame call? What's up with that? Sounds like the Dems are really worried and are trying to split hairs. Dems complain that Palin hasn't any foreign policy experience...and Obama does? At least with the Republicans their inexperience on that issue isn't the one who is running the country! I was an Obaman fan but I am switching to McCain.

Actually, there was no desperation about it. McCain simply pulled out a trick from his training as a fighter pilot: your adversary gives you the chance at a "kill shot" , you splash him. Obama's unwillingness to find a way to get Hillary on the ticket put his candidacy right in McCain's crosshairs.

John McCain must be feeling pretty desperate to choose a female. The press is making her out to be something of a'Hilary Clinton'. Well, she is a far cry from Hilary. He should have gone back in history a bit and remembered what happen to Dukakas(sp when he chose a woman for VP. Or maybe his age is showing and he reallyu did forget. lol Kind of makes you want to say ... Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
