HEALTH Recommends Beaches for Closure

Tim Martin

The Rhode Island Department of Health (HEALTH) issued a press release Thursday afternoon, recommending the closure of multiple beaches in the Ocean State.

LIST OF BEACHES RECOMMENDED FOR CLOSURE:

  • Gorton Pond Beach, Warwick, RI
  • Warren Town Beach, Warren, RI

The beaches on this list have been recommended for closure due to high bacteria counts in the water. Officials will continue to monitor the water at these beaches, and will recommend re-opening them when the water is safe to swim in.
