Bail out for banks? No problem! But on teh brink of Winter, the Senate tells millions of the unemployed to 'go starve'. Shame on the GOP for stalling unemployment extension legislation! Every day another 7000 Americans lose benefits and have no means of survival. Newsflash: The tanking economy wasn't their fault! Pass this legislation today! H.R. 3548/S.1699.

Just hink the big gov was going to add another thousand to the number would have brought it to 13.5 percent and thats not including whos numbers are out of the system now that the benifits ran out. so you figure close to 100 grand not working in this state. 100 grand that will be collecting more state benifits if they have kids welfare and such. how can they get off of wealfare if their are no jobs in this state?

Everyone knows the job market will come back to RI it's just a matter of how many of us will still have homes and cars by then. Already it's hard enough to compete for what little jobs that are out there now we have to do it without clean clothes or hot water, gasoline or bus fair. How are we to climb out of this hole with out a rope these benefits are our only lifeline and chance to survive. yet nothing has happened. the house passed HR.3548 last month and the senate has stalled the bill. WHY?

What nobody seems to realize is that when the unemployment numbers drop, it isn't because there are new jobs it's because another seven thousand people just ran out of benefits. it happens everyday. Senators give them selves a pat on the back when jobless claims drop one week, what they should be given is a dose of the truth. your pats on the back hurt millions.please extend the benefits TODAY! Stand up for the people! that's what we voted you in for!

It is absurd the way we the unemployed are being treated, I ran out of benefits 4 months ago and and facing eviction in 3 weeks, we NEED this extension of benefits to pass the senate NOW!There are thousands of us in this state alone not to mention across the country. We are being treated as if we don't even matter. Please help us.
