SUNDAY 15 YEAR OLD NORTH KINGSTOWN SWIMMER ELIZABETH BEISEL QUALIFIED FOR THE OLYMPICS BY FINISHING SECOND in the 400 INDIVIDUAL MEDLEY WITH THE THIRD BEST TIME in the WORLD THIS YEAR.
MONDAY SHE QUALIFIED FOR THE 100 METER BACKSTROKE FINAL WITH THE 5TH BEST TIME, JUST ONE SECOND OFF THE WORLD RECORD..
PROUT HIGH SCHOOL SENIOR-TO-BE LAURA SOGAR WON HER HEAT in the 100 BREASTSTROKE EARLIER. IIN HER SEMI-FINAL HEAT THE EXETER NATIVE WITH A GREAT SWIM. ENDING UP WITH THE 13TH BEST TIME in the SEMI-FINALS.
ALL THOSE THAT QUALIFIED FOR THE FINALS ARE AT LEAST FOUR LEARS OLDER THAN LAURA WHO WILL BE AN OLYMPIC CONTENDER IN 2012 FOR SURE.
