Pitino, Willard think Cardinals can be special

APNewsNow

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - Louisville coach Rick Pitino and new
associate coach Ralph Willard say they believe they have an
opportunity to accomplish some special things now that they're
coaching together again.

Willard has rejoined Pitino after leaving Holy Cross, where he
had been the head coach for 10 years and is second on the school's
career wins list.

The two also coached together when Pitino was head coach of the
NBA's New York Knicks, and the University of Kentucky.

They both used the word special multiple times as the two old
friends spoke with the media Friday to present Willard as the new
member of the Cardinals' coaching staff.
