Patriots' DE Wright may get larger role with Jarvis Green reportedly out until December

AP

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) - Patriots defensive end Mike Wright
could get more playing time after Jarvis Green reportedly underwent
knee surgery that is expected to sideline him for at least one
game.

Wright leads New England with four sacks. His role in his fifth
season with the team increased when Richard Seymour was traded to
Oakland before the opener. Green walked through the locker room
Tuesday without a visible limp and declined to talk with reporters.

Green reportedly had surgery during the Patriots bye week after
starting all seven games this season, according to Comcast
SportsNet. The Patriots made no announcement and his agent, Albert
Elias, did not return a call seeking comment.
