Ken Bell

The Brown Bears learned about 9:30 Sunday night that they had been invited to the very first College Basketball Invitational.

However, they had to wait until 2:00 am to find out who they would play and where they would be going.

The Bears have earned a trip to Ohio University to face fomrer URI assistant coach Tim O'Shea on Tuesday.

Game time is set for 7:00 pm.

Brown coach Craig Robinson led his Bears to a 19 and 9 record and a second place finish in the Ivy League.

The team anxiously awaited a postseason berth, their first in five years when they played in the NIT in 2003.
