Providence College Matched Up with Baylor in Anaheim Classic

AP

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - The Providence College men's basketball team will play Baylor University for the first time ever in this year's Anaheim Classic.

The Friars drew Baylor to open the tourney, which is scheduled to begin on November 27 at the Anaheim Convention Center in California.

Providence will play three games against a field that includes Arizona State, Wake Forest, Charlotte, St. Mary's, UTEP and Cal State-Fullerton.

Providence and new coach Keno Davis, who left Drake University to take the job, are looking for a big improvement on last year's 15-16 record.
