PROVIDENCE COLLEGE ANNOUNCES 2009-10 MEN'S BASKETBALL BIG EAST OPPONENTS

Friars To Play Louisville, Connecticut, Syracuse, Georgetown and Marquette At Home
PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- The Providence College Friars announced their 2009-10 men's basketball 18-game BIG EAST Conference matchups on Thursday, July 2.
Once again, the BIG EAST will have an 18-game league schedule for each team. The 18-game format will allow each team to play every opponent once and three teams twice. The Friars will play Syracuse, Marquette and the University of South Florida twice (home and away). PC's other home league games will be against Connecticut, Georgetown, Louisville, Rutgers, Seton Hall and West Virginia.
In addition to playing league foes Syracuse, Marquette and the University of South Florida at home, the Friars also will face those three opponents on the road. PC's other BIG EAST away games will be at Cincinnati, DePaul, Notre Dame, Pittsburgh, St. John's and Villanova.
Tickets for all home games, as well as other road contests can be purchased Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. at the PC Ticket Office in Alumni Hall or by calling (401) 865-GO PC.
Dates and game times for all Friar BIG EAST contests and non-conference games will be released at a later date.
