Patriots running back Fred Taylor has surgery and could miss the season

ESPN.COM says Patriots running back Fred Taylor underwent surgery on his injured right ankle today and could miss the rest of the season.

The 33-year-old Taylor suffered severe ligament damage in his right ankle on his final carry in the win over the Ravens. He reportedly rolled his ankle to outside causing the damage.

Taylor is in the first of a two year contract with the Patriots.
