Boston's Francona better after food poisoning

AP

ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) - Boston Red Sox manager Terry Francona is
feeling better after a bout of food poisoning.

He said before Friday night's playoff game against the Los
Angeles Angels that he had a "bad night" Thursday. Francona
missed the pregame introductions for Game 1, although he was on the
bench as the Red Sox lost 5-0.

"I just got flat-out food poisoning," he said. "Believe me
when I tell you, I got rid of it. I just have a headache. I was
miserable yesterday."
