Former Youth Football Coach Arrested For Child Molestation

Posted: Updated:

Rhode Island State Police announced Friday that Curtis Rogers, 37, of Meriden, Connecticut, has been charged with six counts of sexual assault, and 4 counts of 1st degree child molestation.

Earlier this week, RISP were contacted by the parent of a 15 year old boy, who told his parents he and two of his friends had been sexually assaulted. Rogers apparently had access to the children during his time as a youth football coach in Pawtucket.

Rogers has also coached a youth basketball team in the Pawtucket area.

Rogers was arrested after an investigation, charged in 3rd Division Court in Warwick, and ordered held without bail. He was also ordered to have no contact with the victims.

He is due back in court July 7th, for a bail hearing.
