PA Man Steals and Crashes Bristol Fire Truck

A Devon, Pennsylvania Man has been arrested by Bristol Police, and taken to Rhode Island Hospital, following an accident with a Bristol fire truck early Saturday morning.

According to Bristol Police, Clayton Hardon stole a Bristol Fire special hazards truck, and then proceeded to crash it at the corner of Woodlawn and Anthony ave. The accident happened shortly before 2 a.m., and the truck rolled onto its roof before coming to a stop.

Police arrested Hardon, and charged him with larceny of a motor vehicle, driving under the influence, refusal to submit to a chemical test, reckless driving, and several other motor vehicle offenses.

Hardon was taken to Rhode Island Hospital to be treated for injuries he sustained in the accident, and will be arraigned by Bristol Police pending his release.
