ABC6 - Providence, RI and New Bedford, MA News, WeatherWoonsocket Police Respond to Late-Night Shooting

A 24-year-old man is in critical condition at Rhode Island Hospital, following a late night shooting in Woonsocket.

The shooting took place shortly after 11 p.m. on Sayles St. Once on scene, police found the man conscious, and suffering from a gunshot wound. Rescue crews rushed the man to Rhode Island Hospital, where he is said to be in critical, but stable condition.

Police continue to investigate the shooting, and tell ABC6 News that they will increase patrols to reassure residents that they are safe.
