A couple from Cumberland started off their wedding day a little bit differently than most couples do.
Geralyn Hoffman and Larry Ducady laced up their best running shoes and ran the Amica Marathon in Newport Sunday morning, before saying their "I do's" immediately after right on Easton Beach.
The couple have run marathons together before, but always at different paces. This time they decided to run the entire 26.2 mile route side-by-side. It took them just over five hours to finish.
Hoffman sported a veil and dressed head to toe in white for her race day look. Ducady wore his version of a "tux" for the special occasion; a tuxedo t-shirt and shorts.
The bride and groom ran the race for Team in Training, an organization that raises money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. The pair both have friends affected by the disease.
After they exchanging their vows on the beach, the newly weds along with their friends and family headed to Fenner Hall Club in Newport to continue the festivities.
