The Coast Guard has ended its search for a tug boat captain who fell overboard in the waters off Newport Wednesday afternoon. Crews have covered nearly 800 square miles in the last 24-hours, but have not found the master of the New York-based tugboat "Steven-Scott."
The tugboat was carrying 45,000 barrels of jet fuel from New York to Boston when the crew members noticed around 2 in the afternoon that the 48-year-old captain was missing. Authorities believe the man was not wearing a life vest.
