It's going to cost students more to go to UMASS this fall.
University trustees have approved a nearly 5-percent tuition hike and a fee increase for all undergraduate students.
That brings in-state tuition up to nearly 12-thousand five hundred dollars.
The trustees pledged to freeze tuition for the two academic years after this one if the legislature and the governor increase state funding for UMASS from 45 to 50-percent.
