Hundreds gathered to dedicate a Global War On Terrorism Memorial in Taunton.
It's the first of its kind in the area, honoring those who served in the military since 9/11. The memorial features a six foot black granite stone and a "brick garden", where the names of soldiers from all wars are engraved.
There were so many people at Sunday's dedication, they were spilling out of the park.
"It's an amazing turnout. It couldn't make me any happier to tell you the truth," said organizer Donald French, "This is a culmination of our desire to show support for our troops over there and over here and in the years past."
Taunton's mayor, several local lawmakers and the family of fallen soldier Sgt. Shane Duffy helped dedicate the monument.
