Central Falls to remain in receivership until at least January

Central falls will remain in receivership until at least January, a lawyer representing the city's new receiver told a bankruptcy court judge today.

The state wants to make sure Central Falls' finances are stabilized before it hands power back to the mayor and city council.

Earlier this month the governor's office said it expected central falls to emerge from bankruptcy by late summer or early fall.

This new plan extends that timeline.
