Witnesses: Man shot in head in broad daylight

After a string of violence over the past two months and an anti-violence rally just this past week, a man has been shot in broad daylight in Providence.

Police say they responded to the area of Veazie St. and Douglas Ave. around one o'clock Thursday afternoon where they found a man with a gun shot wound to the head.

The 37 year old man, who has not been identified, was taken to Rhode Island Hospital where police say he's in critical condition.
