Lina Abdul-Hafib has nothing but fond memories of her boyfriend David Hollis.

"Sweetest man, give you the shirt off his back in the middle of a blizzard and wouldn't worry about freezing, just as long as you were warm ." said Lina.

Lina and David were together for 10-years, until he was shot in the head, and later died at Rhode Island Hospital.

David had been outside on Veazie Street in Providence in the middle of the day with his teenage daughter and his 20-year old son, when the shots rang out.

Both kids saw their father get shot in the head, right in front of them.

"He was just laying in the street. They witnessed someone's actions, someone's evil actions." said Lina.

Hollis' family and the police believe he wasn't the intended target, that he was just an innocent bystander.
