RWU students build float for the Bristol 4th of July Celebration

   The race is on at Roger Williams University to build the best parade float, every year students-wait in line, just for a chance to volunteer to help build a float for the Bristol Fourth of July celebration... This year's theme for the float,is to cover the rich history of the 227 year old parade, from past to present Kate Ford, float coordinator says,this year is the unique American experience, and our take on that is the Bristol fourth July celebration, so the carnival to the soapbox races, everything that's in the float, we're trying to incorporated it from 1785 till now.Winning is important to these students-but for them... the chance to be a part of the oldest 4th of July celebration in the United States is the big prize.
