MBTA reverses it's decision to impose 3 dollar surcharge

    The MBTA has reversed its plan to charge 3-dollars for riders who wait to purchase a ticket until they get on board.

    Instead, riders will only have to fork up the extra cash if they opt out of buying their ticket at a window  or ticket machine, when they're readily available. according to Boston.com

   Riders wont be charged if those windows and machines are closed or not accessible.The surcharge was to take effect July 1st for all riders.
