COVENTRY, R.I. - Coventry police say there's no sign of a bear cub that was sighted around noontime on Friday.

The bear, police say, was possibly a cub. Several people called when they spotted the bear wandering around the area of Knotty Oak Road/Route 116. Police say the bear was wandering from place to place, and could have been looking for its family.

Police say they received several calls about the wandering bear Friday afternoon, but they lost track it.

Police had no comment on if this bear is related to the cape bear, who was recaptured in Brookline, Mass. on Tuesday.
