Local and State Police had been searching for a missing 7 year old girl who disappeared just after four Saturday afternoon at Burlingame Campground.
At first, there were reports the seven year old had been abducted and police weren't sure if she was even alive.
Thankfully, that wasn't the case. A picture of the young girl, named Jackie, led one family to the little girl who is now safe. The family pulled into the park, and like many other campers were handed the photo.
They ended up finding her several hours later with pretty bad bruises and scrapes in a mucky area a few miles away from where her family was camping. They were able to pull her out and call police.
Officers tracked them down through their cell phone. That family told Abc6 the little Jackie was actually chasing after a butterfly and got lost.
Police said the little girl was taken to the hospital.
