Man shot multiple times in Providence

A man has been rushed to the hospital after getting shot early Tuesday morning in Providence.

Police say the shooting took place at 285 Amherst Street at about 1:00 this morning. The man, 21, was riding his bike when he was shot in the arm and stomach.

Witnesses found him lying on the ground. They told Police they did not see the shooter. The victim is undergoing surgery. His condition is unknown.
