PAWTUCKET, R.I. - Pawtucket Police have a warrant out for 20-year-old Darrell Johnson in connection with the shooting death of 20-year old Joshua Burgo.
Burgo was shot behind the Nathaniel Greene School on Smithfield Ave just after 3 a.m. Friday morning.
Burgo's friends and family held a vigil for him Friday night at the scene of the shooting.
Tears flowed freely at the makeshift memorial.
Burgo's big sister Stephanie Gamboa was overcome with grief.
"I feel like I lost my son, more than a brother, I feel like I lost my son." said Gamboa, through streams of tears.
Police believe Darrell Johnson shot and killed Burgo in retaliation for something.
The last time Burgo's sister saw her brother, she was begging him to come with her to Florida, to get away from Pawtucket.
A place that Stephanie felt wasn't safe.
"I just wanted him to go to Florida where he didn't know anybody, to have a fresh start and everything."
Burgo is survived by his 1-year old son and girlfriend Geneva DeSilva.
