A Providence woman, fighting eviction from her home,
is getting a little help from her friends.
Jo-Anne Manning had fallen behind on mortgage payments after being laid off.
now that she's back to work, she says Midland mortgage won't give her a chance to pay or modify her loan.So a group formed to help people fight evictions and foreclosure,
"direct action for rights and equality" came to her home on Vermont street , offering support and assistance-
Manning says, staying in her home is beneficial to her and the neighborhood.ABC6 made numerous phone calls to Midland mortgage, We finally talked to Daniel Adams of Midland mortgage, he says his company, will make effort to reach out Miss Manning.
