Updated: Providence Police were called to the Bank of America on Hope Street in Providence, Saturday morning, for a suspicious package.

They closed off part of Hope Street and called in the bomb squad around 10:15 a.m.

The bomb squad sent in a remote-controlled robot to investigate the package and take an x-ray of what was inside.

It ended up being a Jansport backpack left in the corner of the ATM room early this morning. The bag was full of school supplies.

The bomb squad declared the building safe, and it was re-opened around 11 a.m.
