A Providence newborn who was severely injured, last month, died. Hasbro Children's Hospital confirmed her death Sunday.
Now, her parents will be facing charges. The family of 8-week old Christina Jimenez says she was taken off life support Saturday.
She was rushed to Hasbro last month with broken ribs, a fractured skull and swelling of the brain.
Both of her parents have been charged in connection with those injuries. Her father, 26-year-old Christopher Jiminez is currently being held at the ACI on charges of child abuse.
Her 18-year-old mother Mayra Gonzalez was also charged with cruelty and neglect. She will be in court Wednesday.
Christopher Jiminez will be in court Tuesday to face new charges related to the child's death.
