R&B legend and Grammy nominee Jeffrey Osborne is giving back to his hometown of Providence.
The "On the Wings of Love" singer, who was born and raised in Providence, is hosting a golf tournament. It's called The Jeffrey Osborne Celebrity Classic, which will benefit four charities in the capital city: The Amos House, The Boys and Girls Club, The Met School, and The Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra and Music School.
"Giving back to my hometown... It's a great thing to come back here. I want to focus on coming back here and making a difference," Osborne told ABC6.
The Celebrity Classic is on August 13 and 14th at Carnegie Abbey. Magic Johnson is the master of ceremonies. Doc rivers, The O'Jays, Smokey Robinson, and Kevin Frazier have all agreed to be there.
