Gronkowski ready for camp after wild offseason
FOXBORO, Mass. (AP) - The "Summer of Gronk" now over, All-Pro tight end Rob Gronkowski says he only has football on his mind.
His crazy offseason began after setting an NFL record for tight ends with 17 touchdown catches and 1,327 yards receiving and playing hurt in New England's Super Bowl loss to the New York Giants.
Then he won a celebrity home run derby, appeared on a dating show, co-hosted Access Hollywood Live, judged a Las Vegas celebrity bikini contest, walked the ESPY's red carpet, hung out with Kim Kardashian, was a naked cover boy for ESPN The Magazine and ran a viral video campaign trying to land on the Madden video game cover.
He also signed a six-year contract extension worth $54 million - the richest deal ever given a tight end.
