A landscaper is dead after being electrocuted on the job.
Police say Leonardo Estrada, 23, was trimming a Japanese Maple on Country View Drive in Johnston. He was working on a 12-foot tall aluminum ladder Monday, when the metal trimmers he was using hit nearby power lines and electrocuted him. National Grid says he was shocked by 12,500 volts of electricity and fell off the ladder.
Rescue crews took Estrada to Rhode Island Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
