JOHNSTON, R.I. (AP) - A Rhode Island man has died after he struck electrical lines while trimming trees in Johnston.

The Providence Journal reports (http://bit.ly/Q7kNwD ) that lawn care worker Leonardo Estrada was standing on an aluminum ladder cutting maple tree branches Monday when his trimmer hit an electrical wire.

The electricity knocked the 23-year-old Providence man to the ground. Estrada's boss unsuccessfully attempted to revive him. Estrada was declared dead at Rhode Island Hospital.
