JOHNSTON, R.I. (AP) - A Rhode Island man has died after he struck electrical lines while trimming trees in Johnston.
The Providence Journal reports (http://bit.ly/Q7kNwD ) that lawn care worker Leonardo Estrada was standing on an aluminum ladder cutting maple tree branches Monday when his trimmer hit an electrical wire.
The electricity knocked the 23-year-old Providence man to the ground. Estrada's boss unsuccessfully attempted to revive him. Estrada was declared dead at Rhode Island Hospital.
The U.S. Department of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration was contacted to investigate.
