PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Romney campaign is going high-tech, with the launch of a new smart phone app: "Mitt's VP."

Users will be the first to receive the announcement of his vice-presidential running mate.

The app also allows users to share campaign news on their social networks and make campaign contributions from their phones.

Back in 2008, Barack Obama used a text-message system to announce his VP choice.
