Police: Man points gun at mother's head, threatens to kill her - ABC6 - Providence, RI and New Bedford, MA News, Weather

A North Smithfield man will be arraigned today. After pointing a gun at the head of his elderly mother. 44-year-old Brian Mellor was arrested after his 71-year-old mother told police he aimed a gun at her head and threatened to kill her Wednesday. 

The Rhode Island State Police were called in and sent a tactical unit to Mellor's home. Hours later, he walked out and gave himself up. Inside the home, police found four guns.
