Friend of Alexander Whitehouse in court on drug charges

The teen arrested with the son of Senator Whitehouse has pleaded not guilty to a drug charge.
18-year-old Robert Bauer was arraigned in Newport District Court today on a misdemeanor charge of marijuana possession.

Police say Bauer and 19-year-old Alexander Whitehouse had been drinking when Whitehouse drove into a convenience store parking lot in Middletown last month.

Whitehouse already pleaded no contest to drunk driving charges. Bauer also faces an underage drinking charge.
