WARWICK, R.I. - A blue and gold macaw belonging to a Warwick family was found Saturday evening by its owners at Wethersfield Commons, a condominium complex in Warwick.
Owner Rosemarie Rossi told ABC6 news that the macaw, named Sunni, was found outside the apartments in a tree. "We were searching the area, and someone told us they heard a noise. She was making the noise she usually makes at home," Rossi said.
Rossi said the bird was initially scared to come down, but they were eventually able to coax the parrot out of the tree and back to safety.
The macaw, named Sunni, went missing Thursday, August 9. The owners say the bird accidentally flew out through the front door and was missing for two days.
