MA soldier killed in Afghanistan

An explosion killed a 20 year old soldier from Massachusetts.

Private First Class Michael Demarsico II died Thursday in Afghanistan when an IED exploded.

The soldier from North Adams joined the Army in February of last year.

He deployed for Afghanistan last December and has many awards including the National Defense Service Medal.
