CENTRAL FALLS, R.I. – A month-long drug investigation in Central Falls has culminated in the arrest of a mother and her daughter, who police say were manufacturing and distributing cocaine throughout Central Falls.
Police arrested Mildred Ramirez, 48, and her daughter Luz Ramirez, 24, Friday morning after executing a search warrant on Ramirez's apartment on Fletcher street.
Police found stashes of cocaine, "crack", and marijuana with a street value of nearly $1,500.00. They also found scales, cooking agents, packaging material and ledgers within the apartment.
Police say both women had criminal histories involving the distribution of narcotics and were currently on probation for those offenses.
The two women are facing numerous criminal charges including Manufacturing with Intent to Deliver Cocaine, Manufacturing with Intent to Deliver Marijuana, Controlled Substance Conspiracy and Distributing a Controlled Substance near a School Zone, according to police.
The duo are set to be arraigned in 6th District Court on Friday.
