WARWICK, R.I. - Police are searching for up to two men for two robberies that occurred at two gas stations in Warwick, both within a half-hour of each other.
Police say around 4:30 a.m. Sunday morning, a person walked into the Shell gas station at 708 Greenwich Avenue, told the clerk he had a weapon and demanded cash. The robber made off with an undisclosed amount of money.
21 minutes later, police say a similar robbery happened at the Mobil station at 15 Jefferson Blvd. Again, a person walked into the store, told the clerk he had a weapon and demanded cash.
Police believe that the same person may have committed both robberies, and that he acted alone.
Fortunately, no one was hurt in the robberies.
