Coast Guard rescues boaters after they were missing for nearly - ABC6 - Providence, RI and New Bedford, MA News, Weather

The Coast Guard rescued two men stranded on Naushon Island near Gosnold, Mass., at around 1pm this afternoon.

The men had been missing since 2:30am Monday morning when the boat owner called his girlfriend to say he and his passenger were disoriented.

She called the Coast Guard who sent out a helicopter and 4 boats to search for them.

The men managed to beach their boat on Nauson Island and wait for help.

The Coast Guard found them with no injuries and hoisted them out with the helicopter.
