Foster Police have a suspect in custody after a shooting in Foster Tuesday night. Police responded to reports of a shooting around 10 PM at 155 Foster Center Road. When they arrived on scene they found a 32-year-old man with several gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to Rhode Island Hospital and is in critical condition.
Police arrested 52-year-old David Lopes and held him overnight at The Foster Police Department. Lopes will be arraigned at 3rd District Court this morning. He will be charged with assault with intent to murder, assault with a dangerous weapon, discharging a firearm with intent to murder, and carrying a handgun without a license.
