Cicilline-Doherty Could be a Titan Congressional Battle - ABC6 - Providence, RI and New Bedford, MA News, Weather

The Congressional race between incumbent Democratic Congressman David Cicilline (D-RI) and Republican Brendan Doherty is shaping up to be an expensive and feisty battle.
The day after Cicilline gave a rousing victory speech after his primary landslide win against Anthony Gemma, Doherty came out swinging against Cicilline and questioned the former Mayor's honesty.
Doherty blames Cicilline for a $110 million dollar budget deficit that put the City of Providence on the brink of bankruptcy. Cicilline says Doherty supports many of the positions of the Republican Presidential ticket of Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan.
