Suspended Police Chief to be sentenced

Suspended North Providence Police Chief John Whiting will be sentenced today for stealing money from a stripper.

Whiting was convicted in July of taking several hundred dollars from the dancer's purse after a car chase and accident last year. Whiting is still suspended from the force. North Providence is looking into the process of firing him.
