EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Columbus Credit Union at 3 Crescent View Avenue in the Riverside section of East Providence was robbed around noontime on Tuesday, according to East Providence Police.
According to police, a man wearing a Halloween mask and a wig walked into the bank and approached a teller, saying that he had an explosive and demanding cash.
Police say the robber made off with an indeterminate amount of cash, and was last seen walking through the credit union's parking lot.
East Providence police say they are working several leads in this robbery. The bank was subsequently closed for most of Tuesday afternoon.
This robbery was one of two bank robberies that happened in East Providence on Tuesday.
