PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Rhode Island Department of Health is advising Rhode Islanders not to eat Trader Joe's Valencia creamy salted peanut butter made with sea salt.
On Sunday, Trader Joe's, the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, and the FDA released additional information that prompted the R.I. Department of Health to advise Rhode Islanders not to eat any Trader Joe's Brand Valencia creamy salted peanut butter made with sea salt.
The peanut butter, according to the Department of Health, may be linked to a multi-state salmonella bredeney outbreak.
The Department of Health advises people to discard any remaining peanut butter of this brand, and for people who consumed it and became ill to call their doctor.
