PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Providence police are investigating a hit-and-run that happened on Waverly street early Saturday morning.
Police say they were called out to Waverly street around 3 a.m. Saturday, where they found a 31-year-old man who had been struck by a car. The man, police say, told them a white Toyota Camry struck him at a high rate of speed and took off.
The man was taken to Rhode Island Hospital with serious injuries to his head, according to police.
Providence Police are asking anyone with information about this hit-and-run to call Providence Police detectives at 401-243-6406.
